Angry Also Good for Our Health >_<

angry1Many people choose to hold back his emotions when going through something very unpleasant for fear of being branded grumpy. But a recent study found anger can be good for health.

Researchers from the University of Valencia in Spain interested in what happens to the human body when angry. And these findings appear to support a general psychological theory that states that the 'ventilation' emotions for better mental health than to let it remain locked aka buried.

The study found that expressing anger can increase blood flow to parts of the brain involved with feeling happy.

To conduct this study, researchers gathered 30 people in a lab, slowly increase the level of their anger and examined.

Heart rate, blood pressure and stress hormone levels of the two participants in the testosterone and cortisol, measured everything. The brain is also in the screening, from the beginning to the end of the study.

Findings that have been published in the journal Behaviour hormones and this shows that the left side of the brain is more stimulated when the participants are angry.

“Regional left frontal brain generally involved in positive emotions, while the right side associated with negative emotions,” said Dr. Herrero Neus, from the University of Valencia in Spain, who led the study, as reported by the Telegraph, Thursday (06/03/2010).

Dr Herrero also said that anger can drive major changes in the human body, that is controlling the work of the heart and hormones. He showed that cortisol levels decreased and increased testosterone levels.

In addition, there is a change in brain activity, especially in the frontal and temporal lobes.

However, this study found that anger can also have negative effects on the body, namely the participants' blood pressure was increased when angry.
